Improved speed of constant cycle interrupt programs.
The minimum execution interval for constant cycle interrupt programs can be shortened to 50μs, enabling the PLC to reliably read higher-speed signals.
Additionally, priority levels can be set for interrupt programs, allowing higher-priority interrupts to be executed during interrupt processing.
Thus, high-speed signal reading can also be achieved using conventional input modules combined with the CPU module’s constant cycle interrupt programs.
Convenient Soft Device/Tag Area
By installing an extended SRAM card to the PLC CPU module,
the soft device/tag storage area can be expanded by up to 5786K words.
The expanded area is connected as a contiguous region with the built-in CPU module memory,
allowing free allocation of ranges for soft devices/tags, etc.
This facilitates easy programming without needing to consider boundaries between storage areas.
Furthermore, large-capacity data such as recorded data and database data can be handled using an SD memory card.

Enhanced Fixed Cycle Interrupt Program Performance
The execution interval of fixed cycle interrupt programs can be reduced to as short as 50μs, enabling the PLC to reliably read higher-speed signals. Additionally, priority levels can be assigned to interrupt programs, allowing higher-priority interrupt routines to be executed first during interrupt processing. As a result, high-speed signal reading can be achieved using standard input modules combined with the CPU module’s fixed cycle interrupt programs.
