Pro-face GP377-LG41-24V Touch Panel Overview

The GP377-LG41-24V is a 5.7-inch touch panel featuring a 320x240 STN pseudo-color LCD with 64-color display. It is equipped with 2MB of internal FEPROM and 256KB backup SRAM. Key interfaces include CF card, Ethernet, and an expansion serial port.

The unit enhances alarm management with features like increased occurrence counts, cumulative time tracking, alarm level information, and sorting by date or frequency. It supports up to 8 internal clocks. Visual alerts are improved using colors to indicate different alarm severity levels.

For programming and operation, it offers a user-friendly design: the component palette and editing window are integrated, allowing drag-and-drop placement of parts. Tooltips provide guidance on component usage. The system supports Tags for flexible editing and can display up to 3 windows simultaneously (including 2 U Tag windows). It includes historical alarm data display and easier touch panel configuration.

Graphics and text capabilities are enhanced, allowing the use of Windows fonts and images. Font scaling is flexible, with scaling factors of 1, 2, 4, 8, and intermediate sizes for optimal layout fitting. Over 1,200 pre-defined styles enable quick and easy screen creation.

The Pro-face GP377-LG41-24V is a 5.7-inch touch panel HMI featuring an STN pseudo-color LCD display with a resolution of 320×240 pixels and a color depth of 64 colors. It is equipped with 2MB of internal FEPROM memory and 256KB of backup SRAM. For connectivity and expansion, it offers a CF card slot, an Ethernet port, and an extended serial interface.

The unit supports touch input and includes an enhanced alarm management system, which records alarm occurrences, cumulative time, and alarm level information. It provides flexible alarm sorting by criteria such as date and frequency. The number of internal clocks has been increased from 3 to 8, and different alarm levels can be represented with distinct colors for intuitive recognition.

For user interface design, it allows multiple input items with sequencing functionality, including grouping options. A notification bit can be configured to alert operators when specific parameters are changed. The on-screen keyboard position is also highly adjustable for improved ergonomics.

The programming software features a high-resolution interface and an intuitive menu structure designed for ease of learning. The component palette and editing screen are integrated into a single window, allowing users to simply drag and drop components into the layout for fast and efficient screen creation. Tooltips appear when hovering over component icons, providing helpful guidance during editing.

The use of Tags enables more flexible screen design. The HMI supports the simultaneous display of up to three windows, two of which can be user-defined Tag windows. It also includes functions for displaying historical alarm data and offers simplified touch panel operation settings.

Users can display Windows® fonts and image data directly on the programmable HMI screen. Font scaling has been enhanced with flexible magnification factors—allowing scaling between 1x and 8x—enabling precise adjustment of text size to optimize layout. With a library of over 1,200 pre-designed parts and symbols, arranging components and tags is straightforward, allowing for rapid and easy screen creation.
