Omron DRT2-DA02 Analog I/O Terminal for Precise Signal Conversion
Omron Analog I/O Terminal DRT2-DA02
The Omron analog I/O terminal DRT2-DA02 performs analog computations internally within the slave unit. It offers high resolution of 1/30,000 (full scale) and supports various data sampling modes. Equipped with standard intelligent slave functions for enhanced preventive maintenance and troubleshooting, it can analyze sampled data internally to provide low-cost scheduling capabilities. Features include scaling, peak/bottom hold, top/valley hold, comparator, total counter, and derivative calculation. Any two values—such as analog input, peak/bottom, top/valley, or rate of change—can be assigned to two I/O points. Values not assigned to I/O points can be read via message communication. This unit provides analog output with 2 output points.
The Omron Analog I/O Terminal DRT2-DA02 is a highly capable slave unit designed for advanced analog signal processing within distributed control systems. It features built-in computational functions that allow analog data to be processed directly within the terminal itself, reducing the load on the master controller and enabling faster, more autonomous local operation.
A key strength of the DRT2-DA02 is its exceptional 1/30,000 full-scale resolution, which ensures high-precision measurement and control. It supports a variety of data sampling methods to suit different application requirements.
The terminal comes equipped with standard intelligent slave functions, providing robust preventive maintenance and troubleshooting capabilities. This enhances system reliability and simplifies diagnostics. Furthermore, it can internally analyze sampled data to offer a low-cost scheduler function, enabling basic timing and sequence control directly at the I/O level.
It is packed with powerful onboard data processing features, including:
* Scaling: Converting raw analog values to meaningful engineering units.
* Peak/Bottom Hold: Capturing and holding maximum and minimum values.
* Top/Valley Hold: Detecting and holding waveform peaks and troughs.
* Comparator: Generating outputs when values cross set thresholds.
* Integration (Total Counter): Calculating cumulative totals over time.
* Derivative Calculation: Determining the rate of change of a signal.
The terminal offers flexible I/O allocation. Any two of the following values can be assigned to its two physical output points: analog input value, peak/bottom value, top/valley value, or rate of change percentage. Values not assigned to these physical outputs can still be accessed via explicit message communication for comprehensive data monitoring.
As an analog output unit, the DRT2-DA02 provides 2 points of analog output, allowing it to directly command actuators, valves, drives, or other devices based on its internal logic and processed data.
