OMRON C200H-OC225 Relay Output Module 16-Point, 2A, Industrial PLC Replacement
OMRON Relay Output Module C200H-OC225
The OMRON C200H-OC225 is a relay output module with 16 points, capable of switching up to AC 250V or DC 24V at 2A. It uses a removable terminal block for external wiring and supports SYSBUS remote I/O slave racks, occupying 1 CH. It meets international standards U, C, N, L. OMRON has introduced a PC card unit that supports standard PCMCIA cards (e.g., Ethernet or memory cards), enabling PC-like functionality. The CompoBus/D is an open, multi-master, mixed control and data bus system, while CompoBus/S is a high-speed ON/OFF machine bus ideal for reducing field wiring to sensors and actuators. Additionally, the CPU can be equipped with one of six optional communication boards, supporting SYSMAC LINK, SYSMAC NET, and communication with devices via RS-232C/RS-422, such as modems, programmable terminals, barcode readers, or temperature controllers.
The Omron C200H-OC225 is a relay output module designed for use in the C200H series programmable logic controller (PLC) systems. It provides 16 output points, each capable of switching loads up to 2A at AC 250V or DC 24V, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial control applications, including motor starters, solenoids, and indicator lamps. The module features a detachable terminal block for simplified wiring and maintenance, allowing quick replacement without disturbing existing connections. It occupies a single channel (1CH) in the I/O allocation, conserving rack space for other modules.
This module supports SYSBUS remote I/O slave rack configurations, enabling distributed control architectures where the module can be located remotely from the main CPU rack, reducing wiring complexity in large or spread-out systems. Compliance with international standards (U, C, N, L) ensures its acceptance in various global markets, including UL, CSA, and other regional certifications.
In addition to standard I/O capabilities, Omron has expanded the functionality of the C200H platform through PC Card units that accept commercial PCMCIA cards. These cards, such as Ethernet or memory cards originally designed for personal computers, can now be integrated into the PLC system, enabling advanced data logging, network connectivity, and communication functions directly from the controller.
The C200H series also integrates with Omron’s open-network architectures. CompoBus/D (DeviceNet) is a multi-master, open fieldbus network that supports both control and data signals in a mixed, multi-bit system, allowing seamless integration with a variety of devices from different manufacturers. CompoBus/S is a high-speed ON/OFF machine control bus, optimized for reducing wiring between sensors, actuators, and other field devices, ideal for high-speed machine control applications.
For enhanced communication versatility, the CPU unit supports an optional communication board that can be installed alongside the standard built-in host link port. Six types of communication boards are available, offering connectivity for SYSMAC LINK or SYSMAC NET units, or for direct communication with modems, programmable terminals, barcode readers, temperature controllers, and other devices equipped with RS-232C or RS-422 interfaces. This flexibility simplifies the integration of the PLC into complex automation systems, enabling easy data exchange and remote monitoring.
