The Mitsubishi QY82P is a source-type transistor output module designed for high-performance industrial automation systems. It features 64 output points, each capable of sourcing DC12~24V at 0.1A, with a total current capacity of 2A per common terminal. The module is organized with 32 points per common terminal, ensuring efficient power distribution and wiring simplicity. Its off-state leakage current is as low as 0.1mA, and the response time is a swift 1ms, making it suitable for applications requiring precise and rapid switching.
The QY82P is equipped with a 40-pin connector for easy integration into control cabinets. It includes built-in thermal protection, a surge absorber, and a fuse, providing robust safeguarding against overcurrent, voltage spikes, and overheating. These features enhance the module’s reliability in demanding industrial environments.
A key advantage of the QY82P is its support for sampling trace functionality, which significantly reduces startup time and facilitates fault analysis. By capturing and analyzing data during operation, users can quickly identify the root causes of failures, debug program timing, and optimize system performance. In multi-CPU configurations, the sampling trace capability also aids in determining data transmission timing between CPU modules. The collected data can be analyzed using programming tools, displayed as graphs or trend charts for bit and word devices, and saved in CSV format for use with GX LogViewer, a dedicated data recording and analysis tool.
The module contributes to faster production cycles and enhanced system performance through high-speed processing. With a basic operation processing speed of 1.9ns, it helps reduce overall scan times, enabling high-speed control tasks that were previously achievable only with microcontrollers. This reduction in total scan time minimizes performance deviations and improves system reliability.
Handling large volumes of data is streamlined with the QY82P’s compatibility with high-speed universal QCPUs. When an 8MB SRAM expansion card is installed, the standard RAM can be used as a continuous file register, with a capacity of up to 4736K words. This eliminates the need to manage boundaries between standard RAM and SRAM card file registers, simplifying programming. Even if the device memory space is insufficient, the file register area can be easily expanded by installing an additional SRAM card.
The index register has been extended to 32 bits, allowing programming beyond the traditional 32K-word limit and enabling index modification across the entire file register area. This is particularly beneficial for structured data operations, such as arrays, where index modification processing speed has been improved. When used in repetitive program loops, such as FOR to NEXT instructions, the enhanced index register speed reduces scan time, further optimizing overall system performance.
