The Mitsubishi General-Purpose High-Speed CPU Q13UDVCPU features 4096 I/O points and 8192 I/O soft element points. It offers a program capacity of 130K steps, a basic processing speed of 1.9ns for LD instructions, and 520KB of program memory. It includes USB and Ethernet ports, supports SD and extended SRAM cards, and facilitates handling of large data volumes.

By installing an 8MB SRAM extension card, the standard RAM can be used as a continuous file register of up to 4736K words, simplifying programming and easily expanding the file register area even when soft element memory is insufficient. Index registers are expanded to 32-bit, enabling access beyond the traditional 32K words and allowing index modification across all file register areas. The speed of index modification processing is improved, enhancing operations on structured data (arrays) and reducing scan time in loop processing.

It supports USB and RS232, memory card installation, and high-speed communication between multiple CPUs. Fixed scan interrupt time is reduced, with a minimum fixed-cycle interrupt interval of 100µs, enabling precise capture of high-speed signals for enhanced device optimization.

High-speed machine control is achieved through multi-CPU systems, combining linear sequence program execution and high-speed inter-CPU communication (0.88ms cycle) for parallel processing. Synchronization with motion control ensures maximized operational efficiency. The new motion control CPU doubles the performance of previous models, supporting fast and precise machine control.

Efficient Handling of Large-Capacity Data

Previously, continuous access between standard RAM and SRAM card file register areas was not possible, requiring programming considerations for area boundaries. With the installation of an 8 MB SRAM expansion card in the high-speed general-purpose QCPU, the standard RAM can be used as a continuous file register, offering a capacity of up to 4,736K words, thereby simplifying programming. Thus, even if soft element memory space is insufficient, the file register area can be easily expanded by installing an extended SRAM card.

The index register has been expanded to 32 bits, enabling programming beyond the traditional 32K-word limit and allowing index modification to extend across all file register areas. Additionally, the processing speed of index modification, which plays a critical role in structured data (array) operations, has been improved. When index modification is used in repetitive processing programs (such as instructions from FOR to NEXT), scan time can be reduced.

Connectivity and Compatibility

Supports USB and RS232 interfaces.

Compatible with memory card installation.

High-Speed Multi-CPU Communication

Enables high-speed communication between multiple CPUs.

Reduced Fixed Scan Interrupt Time for Enhanced Precision

The minimum interval for fixed-cycle interrupt programs has been reduced to 100 µs, allowing for precise capture of high-speed signals and contributing to improved device precision.

High-Speed and Precision Machine Control via Multi-CPU System

High-speed control is achieved through parallel processing of sequential programs and high-speed communication between multiple CPUs (with a cycle time of 0.88 ms). The high-speed communication cycle between multiple CPUs is synchronized with motion control, maximizing operational efficiency. Furthermore, the new motion control CPU delivers twice the performance of previous models, ensuring high-speed and precise machine control.
