Mitsubishi 8.4 Inch Touch Screen GT1665M-VTBA HMI Display Panel
Mitsubishi 8.4-inch Touch Screen GT1665M-VTBA
The Mitsubishi GT1665M-VTBA is an 8.4-inch TFT color touchscreen with VGA resolution (640×480), 256+ colors, and multimedia/video/RGB support. It features AC100~240V power, built-in RS-422, Ethernet, RS-232, RS-485, USB host/device ports, and 15MB storage. It uses an analog touch panel. To maintain accuracy, keep the surface clean and dry; clean with a soft dry cloth or mild cleaner. If response is slow, the system may be outdated or have moisture on the screen. If cursor movement is reversed, check the connector orientation or screen mounting.
The Mitsubishi 8.4-inch Touch Screen GT1665M-VTBA is a high-performance model from the GT16 series, designed to deliver advanced multimedia capabilities and enhanced functionality for industrial automation and human-machine interface (HMI) applications. This model features an 8.4-inch TFT color display with a VGA resolution of 640 × 480 pixels, offering high brightness and a wide viewing angle for clear visibility in various lighting conditions. It supports 256 colors or more, ensuring vibrant and detailed graphical representation.
The GT1665M-VTBA is built for multimedia and video/RGB compatibility, making it suitable for applications that require visual data integration, such as video monitoring or dynamic content display. The unit comes in a standard black housing and operates on an AC power supply ranging from 100 to 240 volts. It is equipped with a built-in RS-422 communication interface, along with standard Ethernet, RS-422/485, and RS-232 ports, providing versatile connectivity options for integration into existing industrial networks.
This model also includes USB Host and USB Device ports, enabling data transfer, firmware updates, and peripheral connectivity. The user storage capacity is 15 MB (compared to 11 MB for the GT16__-VNB__ series), allowing ample space for application data, screen layouts, and system files. The touch panel employs analog resistive touch technology, which requires careful handling to maintain accuracy and responsiveness.
To ensure optimal performance, the touch screen surface should be kept free from water droplets, dust, or any soft contaminants, as these can cause false touch detection or calibration errors in the surface acoustic wave system. For cleaning, use a soft dry cloth or a mild cleaning agent, gently wiping from the center outward. Alternatively, a dry soft cloth lightly dampened with industrial alcohol or glass cleaner may be used. Avoid abrasive materials that could damage the screen surface.
If the touch screen becomes sluggish or unresponsive when touched, it may indicate system aging, a low internal clock frequency, or the presence of moisture on the screen surface. In such cases, upgrading the system or drying the screen with a clean cloth may restore responsiveness. If the cursor moves in the opposite direction of the touch input (e.g., moving left while the cursor moves right), the issue is likely due to reversed connection of the control box to the touch screen or incorrect orientation of the screen itself. This can be corrected by reversing the connection or adjusting the physical installation.
The GT1665M-VTBA is a robust and feature-rich HMI solution, ideal for complex industrial environments where multimedia support, video integration, and reliable communication are essential.
