Mitsubishi medium-inertia, medium-capacity servo motor, model HC-SF152.

●Series: Medium inertia, medium capacity

●Encoder: Serial incremental encoder

●Rated output: 1.5 kW

●Rated speed: 2000 rpm

●Brake: Without

●Shaft end: Straight

●Rotor type: Squirrel-cage, designed with high resistance and low inertia for wide speed range, linear torque-speed characteristics, no self-rotation, and fast response. The rotor is made of high-resistivity material and has a slender shape to reduce inertia.

The Mitsubishi HC-SF152 is a medium-inertia, medium-capacity AC servo motor designed for high-performance industrial automation applications. It features a serial absolute/incremental encoder, providing precise position and speed feedback for reliable closed-loop control. With a rated output power of 1.5 kW and a rated speed of 2000 rpm, this motor is well-suited for applications requiring moderate speed and torque characteristics. The motor is supplied without a brake (no holding brake) and comes with a straight shaft end for direct coupling to mechanical loads.

The rotor of an AC servo motor, such as the HC-SF152, is typically constructed in a squirrel-cage configuration. However, to achieve a wide speed regulation range, linear mechanical特性, absence of "self-rotation" (self-oscillation), and rapid response capability, servo motors differ from standard induction motors in two key aspects: they have high rotor resistance and low rotor inertia. High rotor resistance enhances the motor's torque-speed linearity and stability, especially at low speeds, while low inertia allows for faster acceleration and deceleration.

Two common rotor designs are employed to realize these characteristics. The first uses high-resistivity conductive materials, such as special alloys or brass, to fabricate the rotor bars, thereby increasing resistance. The second focuses on reducing rotational inertia by making the rotor slender and elongated. This elongated design minimizes the mass moment of inertia, enabling quicker dynamic response and greater precision in positioning and speed control tasks. These features make the HC-SF152 an excellent choice for applications such as CNC machinery, robotic actuators, and other high-performance motion control systems.
