Communication interface: 1 RS-232C port and 1 RS-422A/485 port.
For CJ-series systems, the following functions can be selected per port:
Protocol macro, Host link, NT link (1:N mode), Serial gateway, No-protocol 3, MODBUS-RTU slave.
For NJ-series systems, the following functions can be selected per port:
Protocol macro, Serial gateway, No-protocol 3, MODBUS-RTU slave.
This unit supports high-speed serial communication with external devices. Each unit provides two serial ports (RS-232C and RS-422A/485), and the communication method can be set individually per port from options such as protocol macro, host link, NT link, serial gateway, and no-protocol.
By installing up to 16 CPU Bus Units (including these serial communication units) to a CPU Rack or Expansion Rack, a system with up to 32 serial communication ports can be configured.
Connecting an NT-AL001 RS-232C/RS-422A link adapter to the RS-232C port enables 1:N communication.
With the CJ1W-SCU@2 series, higher communication speeds (up to 230.4 kbps) and faster data transfer with the CPU unit allow connection to high-speed external devices.
