●Keep surface free of water droplets or soft objects to avoid false touch detection.
●Clean with a soft dry cloth or mild cleaner, wiping from center outward.
●Use industrial alcohol or glass cleaner if needed.
●Slow response may indicate outdated system, low clock frequency, or surface moisture.
●Replace or upgrade system if sluggish; wipe off moisture.
●If cursor moves opposite to touch direction, check if connector is reversed or panel is mounted backward—simply reverse the direction.
The Mitsubishi GT1672-VNBD is a 10.4-inch touchscreen HMI (Human-Machine Interface) unit from the GT16 series, a product line recognized for its advanced multimedia capabilities and rich feature set. Designed for panel mounting, this model incorporates a TFT color display with a resolution of VGA (640 × 480 dots), capable of rendering 16 colors. The unit comes in a black host frame and operates on a DC24V power supply. It is equipped with a built-in RS-422 communication interface, along with standard RS-232 and RS-422/485 ports, as well as an Ethernet port, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial automation environments.
The GT1672-VNBD supports USB Host and USB Device ports, enabling flexible data transfer and peripheral connectivity. The user storage area is 15 MB (with the GT16__-VNB__ version offering 11 MB). It also supports multimedia and video/RGB units, allowing for richer visual and interactive applications. The touch interface uses an analog touch panel, which requires careful handling to maintain accuracy and responsiveness.
To ensure reliable operation, the touchscreen surface must be kept free of water droplets, dust, or other soft contaminants, as these can interfere with surface acoustic wave (SAW) technology and cause false touch inputs or calibration errors. When cleaning the screen, use a soft, dry cloth or a mild cleaning agent, gently wiping from the center outward. Alternatively, a dry soft cloth lightly moistened with industrial alcohol or glass cleaner can be used. If the touchscreen becomes sluggish or unresponsive when touched, it may be due to an aging system with a low internal clock frequency, or the presence of moving water droplets on the surface. In such cases, upgrading the system or drying the screen surface may restore responsiveness.
In the event of directional errors—such as the cursor moving right when the user’s touch moves left—the issue is likely caused by reversed connections between the control box and the touchscreen, or the touchscreen being installed upside down. Simply reversing the orientation or reconnecting the cable correctly should resolve the problem.
